SYMPTOMS
- A pop-up window in Internet Explorer with the following message “This page contains both secure and non secure items. Do you want to display the non secure items?” is the major symptom.
CAUSE
This is a know Acrobat / IE integration issue. It is not possible to use an HTTP POST when dynamically creating and streaming a PDF to the browser.
- Using HTTP POST to the page creating the PDF
RESOLUTION
- Change the HTTP POST to the page creating the PDF to HTTP GET. If this is a form submit, change the forms "method" attribute to "GET".
